The only reason I can think this has never been brought to the tables is because people simple don't understand the cords system used on the minimap.Īdditionally people didn't know that a minimap ping is also a left click on your terrain map!! Why do I smell suntan lotion?Hehe your comments are much appreciated :) Now if you could just write a script that will get hot bikini models to show up at my door, naked except for the 12 pack of new castle they are carrying!Īnyway, got to go. Did anyone else know this was possible?ĭamn Falkor, a member for a hole 24 hours and already added TWO useful things to the community. As long as I have been multiboxing I've been asking people how to do targeted AoE attacks while five boxing on one machine. I am wondering why this is the first time I have seen this brought up. I got a little chub just reading this post. This also means you need to have /script Minimap:PingLocation(X,Y) in your main's macro twice since the first one appears to be gobbled up and never actually pings the map. You would have to stagger the cast to take into account latency for the minimap ping to make it to the clones. To coordinate your clones who may not be facing the right way, you can probably do /script Minimap:PingLocation(Minimap:GetPingPosition()) in their macros so they will get the appropriate relative position of where you main casted. Let the AOE shows begin! Infernals, rain of fire, laser beams, hellfire, portals. I'm not sure how this works inside instances that have 'floors' Either way I'm sure it will raise the fun factor of 5 boxing locks in AV that much more, and would make a nice 'pop that stealther' spread AOE. It appears that you must be standing on the actual terrain and not any raised flooring like the center of Shattrath City or the rock parts in Lower City. Then it just started working and figured out why. When I first tried it I kept getting the targetting overlay and was a little disappointed. script Minimap:PingLocation(X,Y) in your main's macro twice since the first one appears to be gobbled up and never actually pings the map. script local x, y = Minimap:GetPingPosition() Minimap:PingLocation(x * 140, y * 140) in their macros so they will get the appropriate relative position of where you main casted. To coordinate your clones who may not be facing the right way, you can probably do Thanks to Mudd for this extra information: The second 0 is a vertical value on the minimap (Min:-70 Max:70 ) The first 0 is a horizontal value on the minimap (Min:-69 Max:69 ) The following command will ping your minimap at a set location, this can then be used after using a macro to cast say blizzard or any other spell that requires you left click on the floor. Not sure if this has been explained but here goes for a refresher. ***Thanks to everyone for their hard work on this while it lasted - Fursphere 11.10.08*** "You can no longer click the minimap to cast ground targeted spells." You can use the templates World of Warcraft Wiki foorum and World of Warcraft Wiki foorum to indicate locations on a map using the map coordinates. This functionality was removed in a recent patch (2.4.3). Your present coordinates for the zone will appear in the default chat frame. Go into the game, open a chat box, paste, hit enter. script SetMapToCurrentZone() local x,y=GetPlayerMapPosition("player") DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(format("%s, %s: %.1f, %.1f",GetZoneText(),GetSubZoneText(),x*100,y*100)) 2 Showing coordinate locations in WoWWiki.
